If you are looking for a well trained, quality equine partner for trail, show, field trials or service related activities … then you have come to the right place. We are a business, not a private seller, so you can buy with confidence that what you see, is what you get … and with the knowledge that it would be of no benefit to us to provide inaccurate information or to claim something that wasn’t so. There is no need to be concerned that you are just buying someone else’s problem. We try to provide quality, sound horses for the appropriately determined level and experiences that the horse can provide, at an affordable, obtainable price.

At LGH, we offer Tennessee Walking Horses, Missouri Fox Trotters, Saddlebreds, Rocky Mountain Horses, Racking horses, Friesians and occasionally other breeds that are a pleasure to own and ride, on the trail or in the ring. Our goal is to help you find the horse you have been looking for and would like to enjoy for years to come, and ultimately to help facilitate a happy pairing between horse and rider.

We always ask ourselves this question when selecting horses available to us … Is this a horse I would like to keep?… whether it's for one of our own lesson, ranch or show horses … or when selecting those available for sale. Horses are personally selected on some or all of these characteristics … confirmation, temperament, willingness, appearance, gait, experience and paper.   Many of them have significant trail experience … some with field trial experience, show experience, or service related experience. All go through re-evaluation, training and tune-up where necessary. All horses have had a minimum of 20 trail rides unless indicated otherwise.

A profile has been created for each horse providing a brief synopsis about them and their abilities. We do our best to present these horses in an honest light, letting you know of the experiences they have had, how they did on field and trail obstacles and during their evaluations…how they did with gait…smooth transitions, etc. While we do our best to provide this information to you, it is recommended and welcome for you to come out and ride them for yourself. If you’d like the horse to learn something new or would like to have a particular skill worked on, we can refer the trainer to work with you and the horse.

We may have other horses available that are not posted, and we also offer broker services. If there is a particular type of horse that you are looking for that we do not have posted … let us know and we may be able to locate one for you. Interest free payment plans available, and credit cards accepted. Important Note:
All horses listed have been vet checked for "soundness" prior to listing, however you are welcome to have them vet checked again for “soundness” prior to purchase at your own expense. While we guarantee these horses to be "sound", we ask that they be checked prior to leaving our facility; as we cannot be responsible for what happens to the horse after it leaves. “Soundness” = No identifiable disease or injury upon exam - OK for sale; OK for travel. 

If you decide the horse is not what you want for some reason … you think it is too thin or too fat, too muscular or not enough ... these are not issues of "soundness". These are not indicative of identifiable disease, injury, or reasons not to be cleared for travel. If you have already placed a deposit, paid in full, or have payment arrangements on a horse and later change your mind for some reason, there are no refunds, and any exchange would be at the discretion of LGH, and based on the circumstances.  We have never had a horse not pass a vet check, or not be cleared of identifiable disease or injury, however, if this occurred, and you already placed a deposit or paid for the horse prior to having it vet checked, and prior to leaving our facility, we would offer an exchange for a horse of comparable value, or refund at LGH discretion based on the circumstances.
